Drake issued a statement on Wednesday addressing the photo of him in black face that was released by Pusha T as a part of the diss track “The Story of Adidon.” earlier this week.

In the statement Drake claimed that the photo was part of a collaboration with his friend to show how “African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment.” The statement went on to say that. “This was to highlight and raise our frustrations with not always getting a fair chance in the industry and to make a point that the struggle for black actors had not changed much.”

Pusha responded during a recent interview and said “I don’t believe it at all…You are silent on all black issues, Drake, with a huge platform.”
