Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the Toronto Star claim that the box office giant is working with ticket scalpers. In an undercover investigation, the two news companies allegedly uncovered an underground ticket scalping project at a major live entertainment conference in Las Vegas in July.

CBC and Toronto Star posed as scalpers and they were approached by Ticketmaster representatives. CBC investigative reporter Dave Seglins, one of the reporters who went undercover, said. “They have a secret scalper program that they don’t talk about in any corporate reports.” He also said “What we discovered is they are selling something called TradeDesk, which is an online system….It’s purposely designed for professional scalpers. It helps manage large inventories.”

CBS This Morning reported about the story.

So is this why Ticketmaster prices are soooo high? Hummmm
