Ryan Coogler has announced that he has signed on for Black Panther 2. Yes, there were questions if he was going to come back to the series that put his name on the map. He will start working on the film starting in 2019.

Since Black Panther, Coogler has co-written Creed II due in theaters November 21st. Unfortunately, he’s not directing part 2 although he did an AMAZING job on part one.  But whatever.

Coogler has an impressive resumé. Not only did he direct Black Panther and Creed, he also directed 2013’s award-winning and critically acclaimed movie, Fruitvale Station. Keep doing big things, Ryan!

Disney nor Marvel have announced a release date for Black Panther 2 yet.
