We are all fans of Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino. We love him from his hit show, Atlanta and his roles in Magic Mike XXL, The Martian, and Solo: A Star Wars Story just to name a few times that we fell in love with him. Plus his music. Who didn’t jam to “This Is America” and “Feels Like Summer”. He’s is doing it all. Now he has some major movies coming out.
Glover is going to be the voice for Simba in the live-action version of The Lion King which hits theatres on July 19th.
Just announced is his latest project with the one and only Rhianna a movie called, Guava Island. Rhianna and Glover play a couple living abroad in paradise but they can’t afford to live there or enjoy it. According to Variety. Glover screened a trailer at the PHAROS festival in New Zealand last weekend. Currently, there isn’t a good clear trailer online to watch. Sorry but that should change very soon. There is no release date for the movie yet.
According to Collider, Glover is up for the role of Willy Wonka in the Warner Brothers remake of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. He’s not the only one going for the role. Ezra Miller (Justice League) and Ryan Gosling (La La Land) are also on the shortlist. He is also in talks to play a role in Black Panther 2. Hmmm
