On February 28, 2019 BlocBoy JB has been arrested on gun and drug charges, as reported by TMZ. The “Shoot” rapper turned himself in after authorities made it known that he was wanted on criminal possession of a firearm and various drug and paraphernalia possession charges.
Earlier this month on Twitter, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office shared the news that they were looking for JB, whose real name is James Baker.
On Twitter the Shelby County Sheriff’s tweeted, “Breaking: SCSO needs help in locating James Baker, 22, better known as BlocBoy JB,”. “Baker is wanted for poss of drugs & drug paraphernalia, a convicted felon in poss of a handgun, & for theft of prop. Anyone with tips regarding Baker’s location is asked to contact law enforcement.”
BlocBoy shared several videos to Instagram this morning before he contacted police.
Prior to all of this happening, BlocBoy JB had been on a roll. He was able to drop a fire mixtape and had one of his dances created on the game Fortnite. However, JB sued the developers over making money off something he considers his intellectual property.
BlocBoy’s bond was set at $50,000.
