What is Sildenafil citrate? The name might not sound familiar, but a recent report by Reuters has found that a popular energy drink contains the drug which is more popularly known as Viagra. The drink known as Power Natural High Energy Drink SX is sold in Zambia, Africa and gave customers a little more than they bargained for.
The drink came under fire from the Uganda National Drug Authority after a consumer revealed that after drinking the beverage he had an erection that lasted nearly six hours. After tests were performed on the drink, authorities discovered that it contained Sildeafil citrate which is the active ingredient in Viagra.
The company who makes the drink is now prohibited from producing it until it has been proven that all problems have been addressed.
Sildenafil citrate carries some pretty serious risks and potential side effects. There can be serious issues related to heart health if not taken properly. Some other side effects can be hearing and vision impairment.
