Flashing Lights on Police Car

Jacom Stephens

This story began as a simple traffic stop but turned into something 100x times bigger! In Lincoln, North Carolina, a car was pulled over because of “suspicious activity” and a number of traffic violations. A drug-sniffing K-9 officer conducted an open air sniff which caused the dog to detect narcotics inside of the vehicle.

The police began their search and found 117 pounds of cocaine. This is worth about 6.4 million dollars. The sheriff’s office stated this is the “largest drug bust ever” after seizing the cocaine.

The driver, Jason Williams, was charged with trafficking in cocaine possession, by transport and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for a controlled substance, as stated by the news release. His bond is set to $2 million dollars according to jail records.
