Prosecutors in Los Angeles have decided to not continue pursuing charges against rapper Young Thug in a case where he was accused of possessing a firearm. The District Attorney’s office has rejected the case due to insufficient evidence. Thug’s attorney has confirmed that the case is actually closed after Thugga was busted back in August when a member of his entourage drove his car into a police car which triggered cops to search the vehicle that Thug was riding in.

In a statement released earlier today Thug’s attorney Michael Goldstein said ” “I commend the District Attorney’s Office for making the right decision after carefully reviewing the facts and body worn video over the past 9 months. The fact so much time and work went into this decision reinforces trust in our system of justice.”

Documents that were discovered by TMZ revealed that the police were unable to find any DNA on the gun found in the vehicle, and since there were three people in the car there was no way to determine who the pistol belonged to.
