Rapper A$AP Rocky is being held in solitary confinement after he was arrested in Sweden for an alleged assault that was caught on video.
On June 30th, Rocky was in a physical incident in Stockholm with several other men. It is reported that two men were following and harassing him and his crew. Rocky shares footages of his encounter with the men and how much they were following him on his Instagram.
Rocky was arrested on July 3, and he is being in a facility that is inhumane. According to a TMZ report Rocky was placed in a “disease-ridden” facility with just a yoga mat for him to sleep and no blankets. It is also reported that Rocky has only eaten one apple a day, as the other food available isn’t edible. Rocky’s cell-mate is reportedly mentally-ill who bangs his head against the wall, and throws his feces in the cell.
“He’s in Sweeden locked up in solitary confinement with no visit or phone call privileges.” “They are trying to keep him there for 2 weeks and if convicted he will be looking at 6 years just for defending himself in a fight. He was no way in form the aggressor in this ordeal. Pray for justice,” said an Instagram post by A$AP Ferg.
Many artists are taking a stance against Sweden and boycotting on Rocky’s behalf. Rappers like Tyler, The Creator, T.I., ScHoolboy Q, Lil Yachty, Sheck Wes, and Earthgang and have all been supporting A$AP with the boycott.
Rocky’s team is trying to get the State Department involved to help get him out. The Swedish courts have denied a lot of things to Rocky.
