Stranger Things Season 3

Source: Netflix / Netflix

The setting for most of season three of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things is actually a real place. The Starcourt Mall is where most of the action takes place in the most recent season of Stranger Things and it is located in Duluth, GA. The actual name of the mall is Gwinnett Place Mall, and filming was done there from May to November 2018.

Die hard fans have realized that the mall is actually a real place and began visiting the place where things all went down this season. According to TMZ, the mall is currently being torn down and should not be visited because security is turning people away who attempt to get a glimpse of where the show was filmed.

During production of the show the mall was vacant and the show used an entire wing that wasn’t being used and transformed it into a 1980s inspired mall with stores like The Gap, Sam Goody, Waldenbooks and more.

So if you were planning on taking a trip to Atlanta to see it, it may be too late.
