A lawsuit was issued over the Fyre Festival in 2017 for #JaRule and the event’s chief of marketing. The two were accused of organizing and promoting this highly anticipated luxury festival while they knew it was a scam.

Now, a Southern District Judge of New York has granted alleviation for Jeffrey Atkins (Ja Rule) from the lawsuit. They claimed that the duo was unaware that the concert would amplify into a crisis resulting in attendees being stranded in the Bahamas in harsh conditions.

Initially, there were claims that Ja Rule and Margolin “made false representations on social media about the festival’s accommodations, luxury offerings, band performances, amenities, cuisine, and site description. The organizers knew for months that the festival wouldn’t live up to their promises”. The complaints didn’t allege specifically when the statements were made or what specific promises they contained that consumers relied on.

We are happy to see justice in favor for Ja Rule and his team. The Fyre Festival has a documentary on #Netflic and #Hulu that explains the scandal is way more detail.
