Do you remember hearing about an alligator in Hope Mills… Yesterday the gator was spotted again and for about 6 hours, animal control officers tried to see if they could feel the gator hiding underwater. Around 7pm they finally caught the gator. It’s unclear where the alligator has been in recent days, but wildlife officials said the gator likely first came over the spillway’s fish ladder when the lake was still full. The gator was transported to an undisclosed temporary location.
