The Legendary Eric B & Rakim have been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame class of 2012 along with fifteen other acts including the Beastie Boys and Guns & Roses. The “Microphone Fiend” Rakim is considered one of the best MC’s to ever touch a mic. The nominees were chosen by the 40 members of the hall’s nominating committee, consisting of critics and musicologists.Artists are eligible for the Rock 25 years after their debut single or album.Five acts will be inducted and announced in November. The only other Hip Hop acts ever inducted into the Hall of Fame is Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and Run-DMC. Check out Eric B & Rakim “Microphone Fiend”
