Last month I had the pleasure of speaking in New York City at Columbia University for the Fathers and Families Coalition of America’s inaugural regional summer institute.

During my workshop presentation I had a chance to speak with attendees about the relationship between Hip Hop and Fatherhood.  The workshop entitled “The Gift And The Curse: Understanding The Relationship Between Hip Hop and Fatherhood” allowed me to speak about how Hip Hop culture affects the every day life of fathers, and also how it can be used to teach men how to be better fathers.  I also used my personal testimony along with actual Hip Hop lyrics and facts to drive home the point that active fathers are needed today more than ever.

This dynamic workshop was attended by people from all over the country who were looking to gain insight into how Hip Hop can be used to inspire and educate fathers.

This video blog (VLOG)  gives you a look at the workshop as well as testimonials from people who attended the session.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this workshop please feel free to email thesinglefathersblog@gmail.com  to get more information.
