As we honor those who served our country this Veterans Day many area restaurants and businesses will be offering Vets many free or discounted goodies.
*• Lone Star Steakhouse restaurants will give all veterans and active-duty military a free entrée from a select menu on Monday.
• Olive Garden restaurants are giving veterans and active-duty military free entrée on Sunday, when ordering from a special menu. Proof of service is required
* At Red Lobster, veterans and active-duty personnel will receive a complimentary appetizer on Sunday. Proof of service is required.
*At Texas Steakhouse and Saloon, anyone with a valid military ID will receive a free meal on Monday. In addition, up to five friends and family members will receive a 10 percent discount when dining with military members.
* • Sheetz convenience stores will serve up a free hot dog lunch to veterans on Monday. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., vets and active-duty personnel will receive two free hot dogs and a 22-oz. fountain drink. Active duty or retired veterans must present a valid military ID card, be in uniform or show other proof of service.
* Applebee’s invites vets and active duty military to come have a meal on them…click here..
* • Food Lion stores are offering active and retired military personnel a 12 percent discount on their entire grocery bill on Sunday. Military ID is required. Alcohol, tobacco, lottery, postage stamps and services excluded.
