53-year-old Kevin Clash who has been the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street for the past 20 years is on a leave of absence after being accused of having underage sex with a 16-year-old boy. Clash denied the allegations of underage sex but he did admit to having a consensual sexual relationship with the now 23-year-old man. Lawyers for Sesame Street told TMZ they conducted a thorough investigation into the man’s allegations and determined the underage sex accusations were not substantiated. Sesame Street officials did however reprimanded Clash for inappropriate use of company emails.
