Even though Beyonce had a premiere party for her latest documentary, “Life Is But A Dream,” “Real Husbands of Hollywood” was on and we’re not quite sure what’s happening with cop killer, Christopher Dorner, there was still time left in the evening to tune into the State of the Union Address.

President Obama focused on gun control,the middle class and immigration reform among other heavy topics. He was passionate and his usual charismatic self and watching him was awe-inspiring. Check out some of the best moments from he SOTU:

Even her name sounds like a song. This 102-year-old woman waited six hours in Miami to vote for President Obama in 2012 and scored a special invite to the SOTU where she received a standing ovation.

We Are Citizens

President Obama proudly stated, “We may do different jobs, and wear different uniforms, and hold different views than the person beside us. But as Americans, we all share the same proud title: we are citizens.”

Gun Violence Victims Deserve A Vote

This was perhaps the most rousing part of President Obama’s speech. With the shocking number of gun violence deaths in our country, he wanted us to remember the individual lives effected by the senseless crimes.

President Obama Bringing The Troops Home & Ensured Equality In The Military

President Obama announced he had a plan to bring 37,000 troops home from Afghanistan. Not only will he end the war, but he demands equality in the military for gay/straight and woman!

Marco Rubio’s Thirst

This my very well be one of the biggest viral moments of the SOTU. Republican Senator Marco Rubio’s response to President Obama’s speech may have been a passionate plea, it was overshadowed by his need for a sip of Poland Spring.
