Lamar odom Charity Stealing From Cancer patientsLamar Odom is about to be in a world of trouble. The Los Angeles Clippers player’s charity is being accused of leaving cancer patients high and dry by not sending them the money the charity claims to.

Lamar Odom started the charity called Cathy’s Kids in memory of his mother. She succumbed to cancer when Odom was twelve years old. When he first established the charity, he stated the goal of the organization was to help underprivileged children as well as raise money for cancer research. However, the ESPN show “Outside the Lines” did a little research and found that no money has ever been sent to any cancer research organization.

Out of the $2.2 million raised at event for the charity, $1.3 million went to two youth basketball teams comprised of players considered to be elite. The implication is the players on the team are already being scouted for college scholarships. The $900,000 that was left over never found its way to cancer research. In fact, “Outside the Line” said there is no evidence where the remaining $900,000 went.

When producers for the ESPN show interviewed Odom about it, he disregarded the line of questioning like it wasn’t a big deal. We’ll see how this plays out and report back.
