LeToya Luckett Gets A New Gig

Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett has been cast in a recurring role in the upcoming third season of VH1′s “Single Ladies” this summer.

The singer who owns her own boutique in Houston, will play Felicia Price, a mean and rigid founder and Senior Partner of Price Management, one of the most influential music management companies in the world.

Joining LeToya will be Damien Wayans who will play David Berenger, April’s (Charity Shea) main foil at Price Management — a masterful sycophant, and a slick manager on the Atlanta music scene.

I hope the addition of these two can help this sinking ship which used to be one of my guilty pleasures.

Heavy D’s Daughter To Get His Fortune

The family of late rapper Heavy D has come forward to ensure that the rap legend’s daughter will actually receive all of his monetary assets. An old will of Heavy’s left nothing to his daughter, his parents or his siblings, and his brother Floyd has since filed to gain control of the estate.

Heavy’s mom Eulahlee Myers tells TMZ:

The entire family SUPPORTS Floyd … because they believe he will protect Heavy’s fortune for his daughter — until she’s an adult. “Heavy’s Estate needs to be managed,” Myers tells us … adding, “It cannot be self-managed or self-administered and it has to be Court approved. open bills, unfinished business, taxes and day-to-day decisions including future plans for his daughter all need to be done. This management needs someone who is capable, smart, honest and close to this family.”

Myers explains, “All of Heavy’s assets are going to his 13-year-old Daughter Xea — including his Social Security, Pension, and future Royalties. All of Heavy’s personal belongings are in storage for his Daughter until she gets a bit older.”

She adds, “The Myers family is a close-knit family and always will be. Just the way Heavy liked it.”

We all know how money can turn families against each other when someone dies. This is quite refreshing.

Looks like Evelyn Lozada is rebounding from her breakup with Chad Johnson and may have a new man in her life. Rumor has it the beautiful reality star is dating MLB player Carl Crawford.

Hip Hollywood is reporting that Ev was in New York recently to watch Carl’s team the Dodgers play the Mets, and apparently there have been other eye-witness accounts of Crawford and Lozada hanging out more recently. But until I see the pics,this is nothing but a rumor.

While Evelyn may be moving on with her life, Chad on the other hand has not had a good month. There was a warrant out for his arrest for violating his probation due to their domestic violence issue and as a result was arrested.

Chad is rumored to be dating K. Michelle.
