Woman Sues 266 People

Never underestimate the lengths a mother will go to in the name of protecting her children. A mother is suing more than 250 people in federal court, claiming they viewed and exchanged video of the woman’s two young daughters being sexually abused by their father and another man.

Filed Monday in a Baltimore federal court, the suit accuses 266 different people. While most are listed as “John Doe,” 84 men are named. The legal documents allege the defendants all received videos of the unnamed plaintiff’s daughters being “violently sexually assaulted by their father and a co-conspirator in 2008.” There was a video and images circulating the internet of the two young girls, who were 4 and 6 at the time of the abuse, under the names “DKNY” and “YKND.”

The plaintiff’s attorney Steve Kelly says the family lived a normal life in Ann Arundel County, Maryland until federal agents came to their home in 2008. “The FBI burst in with full force and ripped the kids out of the house, and took the father off in handcuffs. And that’s when the mother discovered this was happening,” Kelly stated.

The plaintiff is seeking damages upwards of $32 million from each defendant. If we break it down, that’s $8 million in compensatory damages and $24 million in punitive damages. And out of those 266 defendants, 80 were convicted or pleaded guilty to receiving child porn. Four of them have been charged with the receipt of child pornography while the 182 were identified through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Child Victim Identification Program. However, they haven’t been formally charged with any wrongdoing.

The father of the two girls and his co-conspirator were sentenced to 45 and 36 years behind bars respectively.
