Nicki Minaj recently sat down with Vibe to discuss her thoughts towards those who may be hating on her strong rise in the hip hop game. She especially wanted to address all of the heat she was catching from fellow female emcees. You would think that other women rappers would be able to respect her as a mutual artist but fame or not some people just envy what that don’t or won’t ever have.
Nicki told Vibe “I work hard but I feel like I have a lot of work to do. Right now, I’m about to sit back and focus on my music.”
“You should be happy I’m here even though I’m showing you bitches how to do it.”
“When people there is one person getting shine it makes them feel unhappy with themselves, the small minded people feel unhappy. The intelligent girls take the things that they like from me and my journey and apply it to their journey. If I had it my way that’s what they’d all do.”
“Everyone is not going to like Nicki Minaj. Everyone’s not going to like the way I look or what I do but I think if you’re smart you’d take from me and figure out why everyone is talking about me. I don’t think they know how to express that so they express it anger, jealousy and hatred.”
