The XXII Olympic Winter Games are currently in effect for the next 2 weeks (Feb 7 -Feb23), and while they have been met with their share of controversy, excitement levels don’t seem to match the hype for the Summer Olympics.
For me, personally, I prefer the Summer Olympics. Why? I simply like the events better. You have Gymnastics, Track & Field, Swimming, Basketball, Tennis and more.
I also feel that the Summer Olympics produce more memorable athletes, like Gabby Douglas, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt. There are also countless others whose legacies have stood the test of time, like Mary Lou Retton, Carl Lewis, Greg Louganis, and who could ever forget the 1992 Dream Team!!
I can’t really think of many iconic Winter Olympians… but I could be wrong…
So we’ve gotta ask…
