Although many people may see the #ALS challenge as a stupid trend that people are doing with buckets of water, or maybe some just see it as something fun to do because everyone else is doing it; it actually has a real meaning behind it. #ALS is a disease that affects the nerves in your brain and spinal cord. The #ALS challenge has helped raise over $6 million dollars and they use the ice bucket challenge because when the ice water is poured on you, your nerves are affected just like people with #ALS, it’s about raising awareness, just like when people wear pink for breast cancer or blue for autism. It’s not always about money, it’s about awareness. So to clarify and answer many questions… NO the ice bucket challenge is not stupid!
