Porsha Releases Statement On 'RHOA' Demotion

Bravo released the official cast photo for season 7 of “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” and to our surprise, our favorite Underground Railroad historian, Porsha Williams, was missing. In case you don’t remember, Porsha’s return to the show was questioned after her marriage with Kordell failed leaving her storyline flat. It didn’t help that she also attacked Kenya at the reunion special… Well, Porsha was demoted from a main cast member to a secondary cast member and she claims she was blindsided by the devastating announcement.

“This is not an easy time for me right now,” Porsha said in an interview on Dish Nation. “But I want let everyone to know that I loved being a ‘Housewife’ on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and I am thankful for Bravo for the opportunity but it’s not goodbye, you will see me on the show throughout the season sharing and bonding with the other women and I promise to stay connected with my fans as I start an exciting new time in my life.”

She added, “After a long season of filming, and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ‘Housewife Status,’ but would remain on the show in a ‘Friend’ capacity….Unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else, would not be genuine nor honest. This moment is bittersweet, but God has been so amazing to me, and I think this is a perfect time for me to spread my wings, and finally focus on all of my upcoming projects.”

Fans of Porsha need not worry, they can get their fix of the ‘Housewives’ star through other outlets. “In addition to having my recurring role on RHOA, I will be able to focus my attention on my career as an Entertainment Correspondent on DISH NATION on Fox, recording my album, building my businesses, and taking baby steps towards nurturing my relationship with my new love!!!” she told fans.

“This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I will be giving my fans & supporters another chance to watch my growth as I take on the world in my own special way very soon!! I am so Thankful for all that #TEAMPORSHA does to keep me INSPIRED every day! Stay Tuned…”

In related news, Phaedra Parks allegedly cheated on Apollo and new reports say details about the affair will come out on season 7 of “RHOA.”  If you caught the trailer, Kenya accused Phaedra of cheating with an African man name “Chocolate.”  Kenya might want to sit down considering her longstanding cheating rumors with Apollo, but either way this sounds juicy.

According to RadarOnline, who spoke to an unnamed insider, “Phaedra has been trying to paint Apollo as the loose cannon…” They added, “She and Apollo were doing fine until she stopped showing up to his [court dates] … Apollo knew something was different.”

“He found her phone and downloaded messages,” the source said. “This was all captured on film. When Phaedra thought he had left for prison, he showed up at their home as she was changing the locks.”

Oop. The truth shall set us free.
