After leaving Rostrum Records to start his own independent label, REMember Music, Mac Miller has signed to Warner Bros with a $10 million deal that covers Miller and his label and artists. This deal gives Miller the independence to develop his own artists while working on his own personal projects. In talking about his new deal, Mac said “Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with. It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label REMember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things.” He added: “They have Prince.” Also this year, Mac released the song “Just Some Raps, Nothing to See Here, Move Along” and his highly celebrated mixtape “Faces.”
