Obama was photographed giving a hug to Nina Pham, the Dallas nurse who came down with Ebola after treating Thomas Duncan, but has since recovered.
Pham, 26, was at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. for eight days after being diagnosed with the deadly virus on Oct 11. She was released from the hospital yesterday and gave a press conference thanking the Dr.’s and God.
“I feel fortunate and blessed to be standing here today. I am on my way back to recovery even as I reflect on others who have not been so fortunate.”
After the press conference, the Ebola-survivor stopped by the White House to meet with President Obama in the oval office.
