The iTeam DJs in association with Fleet DJs and Mp3waxx presents the Salute The DJ Artist Showcase & Panel. This event will bring the DJs and Artists together to network and discuss improving relations amongst the Carolina music scene. The showcase will take place Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 8PM-11PM at Emerald City, 2000 Chapel Hill Rd in Durham.
Artists will perform in front of industry professionals and DJs to win a free eblast of their single or project to thousands of industry connects courtesy of Mp3waxx as well as a conference call with the iTeam DJs & Fleet DJs and a feature on HipHopNC.com. Each artist will be given 5 minutes to perform. The showcase winner will be determined by the crowd response. It is recommended that artists encourage fans to attend to show their following.
Panelists include Nate Bell (Program Director for WQOK, 97.5FM), Wade Banner (K97.5), Brian Dawson (K97.5), Waleed Coyote (102 Jamz) and Craig Martin (Epic Records). Topics discussed by the panel will include how to approach the DJ, what a DJ is looking for in discovering new music, the difference between DJing on the radio and in the clubs and more.
