Etsy recently released a novelty bible, entitled “The Book of Yeezus,” where the rapper’s name has replaced every mention of God in the book of Genesis.
The book also describes each generation having a star in which is so essential that they “accompany that generation through its evolution, being a part of ultimately shaping its identity.”
The author includes: “Such past have been the likes of Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon or Michael Jackson. For this generation, Generation Y, Kanye West is not only its greatest spectacle, but in some senses, a spiritual figure.”
The author also noted that the purpose of book was not to poke fun at the “All Day” rapper but instead was intended as simply an elucidation.
“It’s adding an original twist to something ancient and important in order to capture new meaning. We are trying to cast our spotlight towards the way cultural icons have come to be the contemporary figures in our information culture,” he added.
The hardcover book, otherwise labelled as the “Bible for the New Age,” can be purchased for £13.75.
