It looks like there is a sequel to Soul Food in the works! The original director George Tillman Jr., will be writing the new script. The original cast, such as: Vanessa Williams, Mekhi Phifer, and Nia Long, to name a few, will be returning to set. The story line for the sequel will chronicle the new, millennial generation of the Joseph family, as well as capture the age of cell phones and social media and how disconnected the family is without the older generation. This sequel is long overdue!
