Actor Kevin Hart is teaming up with The Rock again. The costars of the movie “Central Intelligence” will reunite to host this year’s MTV Movie Awards prior to the film’s release in June.
This year will be the 25th anniversary of the awards, and will take place outside at the Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, CA.
It’s the first time MTV will take the telecast entirely outdoors and onto the backlot to “capture the essence of moviemaking magic against a dramatic nighttime backdrop,” the network said in a statement.
“It’s an honor to be hosting the ‘MTV Movie Awards’ with a guy who’s not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who’s often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart,” Johnson said. “We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic, unforgettable night for them.”
Hart and Johnson will also be looking for fans to submit show ideas to t hem. MTV is allowing fans to help produce the show by using their ideas in promos for the show.
Nominations for the show will be announced at a later date.
