The New York Knicks have hired Jeff Hornacek to be their next head coach. Hornacek spent nearly three seasons as head coach for the Suns before being fired on 02/01/2016. He was the runner-up for the 2013-14 Coach of the Year award after a stunnin 48-34 season, but Phoenix struggled mightily through injuries this season to a 14-35 start under Hornacek’s leadership. Hornacek now takes the reigns of a Knicks franchise that’s stuck somewhere in the middle going forward, with the still productive Carmelo Anthony and budding star Kristaps Porzingis, but an overall lack of talent. Hornacek will attempt to bring New Yoir back into contention for the first time in the Phil Jackson era.
