A judge in California was not pleased with actor Columbus Short. According to TMZ the former ‘Scandal’ actor upset a judge by giving him a bunch of excuses about why he violated his probation.

Short was in court today to check in with a judge who had given him probation in a 2014 assault case. He was given the 30-day jail sentence in addition to 6 months of residential drug treatment. Prosecutors told the judge that not only did Short violate his probation by smoking weed, but they also said he has not done any of the community service.

From TMZ:

Short tried playing the sympathy card — his lawyer informed the judge Short’s sister died of heart failure last week. It didn’t work and ultimately, Short apologized.

He’d already been in custody for 6 days, and was immediately taken back to jail to do 24 more.
