Michael Jordan is definitely giving back in a major way by donating $5 million to the National Museum of American American History.

We last heard from the legendary NBA player when he broke his silence and released a statement calling for peace following the shootings of Alton Sterling, Philando Castilo and the police in Dallas.

The multi-million dollar donation was announced on Monday, according to the Associated Press. His donation is the largest amount of money ever given by an athlete. It will benefit the exhibit that analyzes “how sports were used to break barriers as a way to gain full participation in American society.”

A section of the sports gallery will also be named after Jordan.
