Dave Chappelle at Radio City Music Hall

Dave Chappelle is gearing up for his much anticipated hosting slot on Saturday Night Live on November 12th. This is a big deal not only because we haven’t seen Dave on such a large platform in a while, but also because it will be the first SNL episode following the election. In anticipation for this, Chappelle’s been doing some surprise shows at New York City’s The Cutting Room. During a 60-minute set, Chappelle took many digs at Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and the Republican party is singing his praises.

Speaking of Donald Trump’s leaked conversation where he admits to sexually harassing women, Chappelle points to Hillary. “What I heard on that tape was gross,” Chappelle said. “But the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary.” Chappelle also has a problem with the way the media, as he says, spun the story. “Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it.”

Though Chappelle admits that he indeed voted for Hillary, he claims that he didn’t feel good about doing it. “She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy,” he told the audience. “She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.”

Finally, Chappelle applauded Trump for his honestly and resilience in the face of so much negative press. “Here’s how you know Trump is the most gangsta candidate ever. They asked him how he knows the system is rigged and he said, ‘Because I take advantage of it.’ He may as well have flashed his membership card for the Illuminati right then.”

Catch Chappelle on SNL this Saturday November 12th at 11:30pm ET.
