Earlier this year the Hip Hop world lost one of its most prominent tastemakers when WorldStarHipHop.com founder, Lee “Q” O’Denat, passed away.

O’Denat was at a San Diego massage parlor, VIP Spa, on January 23 when he was found slumped over after receiving a massage. Paramedics attempted to revive him by performing CPR, but were unsuccessful.

It has been reported that O’Denat died of natural causes and a toxicology test revealed no drugs or alcohol – besides marijuana – were detected in his body.

During the autopsy, the investigator discovered a severe buildup of plaque in his cardiovascular system, as well as a metal stent near his right coronary artery. The investigators identified morbid obesity as a contributing factor, especially since the 345-pound O’Denat also had an enlarged liver and fatty liver disease.

According to his sister, O’Denat had an unspecified heart problem and was taking medication for the illness.

Lee “Q” O’Denat was 43 at his time of death and survived by three children.

Worldstar Hip Hop is known for being the source of curated content within the urban community and has become a launching pad for many artists.
