Former NFL player Todd Heap and his family are currently mourning the death of his 3-year-old daughter.

According to Fox News, the former football player accidentally struck his daughter with his truck while in the driveway of their home on Friday. Heap was moving the vehicle forward when he accidentally struck his little girl.

According to Sports News, the 3-year-old was Heap’s youngest child of five, with his wife Ashley. Officers arrived at Heap’s Arizona home around 3:45pm on Friday for a car/ pedestrian accident. The little girl was taken to the hospital where she died.

Police told Fox 10 Phoenix, “Heap showed no signs of impairment.”

Heap played 10 seasons with the Ravens and 2 with the Cardinals before retiring.
