The death of Mobb Deep member Prodigy sent shockwaves through the music community earlier this week. Prodigy’s partner Havoc is speaking out about how he found out that his partner in rhyme had passed away.
Hav was on the way home from his son’s kindergarten graduation when he got the news:
“The road manager was just crying, like I never heard before,” said Havoc to TMZ. “I hung up the phone.. all this time I am still driving on the highway, I couldn’t pull over.”
“I can’t listen to… any songs. I can hardly look at the pictures… I met him when I was 15, and now I’m 43… I just still can’t believe it.”
Prodigy was 42-years-old when he passed away on Tuesday.
