Power actress LaLa Anthony has had her share of ups and downs lately. After finding out that her husband was cheating and got another woman pregnant she has remained positive. In a recent interview LaLa talks about her relationship with Melo and why it is important for them to remain friends.
Is she divorcing Carmelo?
Not right now, I’m not. You know marriages are tough. And you know that, we all know that. It’s filled with ups and downs and we’re just going through a time right now, but him and I are the best of friends and our number one commitment is to our son, Kiyan. We have to set an example to Kiyan and that’s what’s most important.
She added,
So I would absolutely never say a bad thing about my husband. That’s my son’s father and he is an amazing dad. I could NOT ask for a better dad.
When asked if they two could possibly work things out she replied…
I don’t know what the future holds. I just know that we’re doing an incredible job being parents to our son. We are the best of friends. I’ve been with Melo since he was 19 years old. Like, you’re not with someone for that long and it just goes out the window. I love him with all of my heart. And we are the best of friends.
She also said that she is not dating, but focusing more on herself:
Yeah, I’m dating (laughs). I’m dating myself. I’m trying to get myself in order.
