Sadly, it has been confirmed that comedian/ actor/ civil rights leader/ writer, Dick Gregory, has died at the age of 84. The legendary figure passed Saturday night in Washington, DC, from heart failure according to his family.

Gregory rose to fame in the 60’s as a trailblazing comedian, while being a prominent figure during the civil rights movement. He continued to speak his mind, perform, and be an influential icon and humanitarian until his death.
