Thursday night Billboard Women in Music hosted their annual event to honor the hard working women of showbiz. The night was filled with appearances from some of our favorite artists and some well deserved award acceptances.
This year, Mary J Blidge was honored with the Iconic Award for her successful career in the industry. During her acceptance speech Mary says, “It has not been an easy fight” and expresses her gratitude for still being honored and relevant after so many years of putting out music.
Solange was given the American Express “Impact” award, which you know we love her so we were super excited! Another award that the Live Squad got hype for was Kehlani’s acceptance of the “Rule Breaker” award.
The award shows most prestigious award, Woman of the Year, was given to Selena Gomez who gave a heartfelt acceptance speech honoring her best friend who gave her a kidney.
