Fantasia and her family suffered from yet another tragedy, on Tuesday. While her brother, Xavier, has been in the hospital for months, recovering from a motorcycle injury, news has been released that her oldest nephew, Tyquan, was shot and killed in a shooting that took place in Greensboro, NC.
According to law enforcement officials, an argument at a residential complex spilled out into the street, where the 18-year-old suffered from multiple bullet wounds, Tuesday morning. Paramedics said that they attempted life-saving measures and transported Ty to the hospital, but he died shortly after.
Rico Barrino, Fantasia’s brother and the father of Tyquan, took to twitter with a heart filled letter to his son. He spoke with TMZ and told them that he is devastated, because he usually gets to see Tyquan on Tuesday mornings, but didn’t get the chance to that day and now he is gone.
Fantasia also shared a message to her nephew in a post made on Instagram, Tuesday night.
The suspect in this case is 21-year-old David Lee, who is currently being held in police custody without bond.
