The NFL has announced that they will now be fining all teams who’s players to not stand for the National Anthem. In a statement the league said, “a club will be fined by the league if its personnel are on the field and do not stand and show respect for the flag and the anthem.”
Tuesday the league’s team owner met and voted on the matter, agreeing that players who choose not to stand may stay in the locker room until the anthem is finished. The NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, said “Personnel who choose not to stand for the anthem may stay in the locker room until after the anthem has been performed.”
