Anthony Anderson from the hit ABC TV show Black-ish just picked up a new gig as the star of a new Netflix film “Beats”. The film is based in Chicago and focuses on Anderson as a former music manager who has “fallen from grace”. He later hooks up with a talented 17-year-old musician named Khalil Everage. The two work together to face their demons and also build a lasting musical relationship with each other.
Chicago’s thriving Hip Hop scene will be featured in the film while established and rising acts from the Chi will be featured.
