Looks like Donnie has finally realized that separating innocent children from their parents is just plain wrong! He announced Wednesday that he would sign an executive order ending family separations at the U.S.-Mexico border after receiving major backlash over his administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy.
The new possible plan would keep children with their parents in federal custody while waiting to be prosecuted for illegal border crossings. This new plan could possibly violate a 1997 court settlement that limits the extent to which you can hold children in detention centers. “We have to be very strong on the border but at the same time we want to be very compassionate,” Trump said during his meeting with lawmakers
