Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, best recognized as rapper 21 Savage was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Sunday morning the rapper was taken into custody, due to living in the United States illegally since 2006.

It’s reported that Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was in the US on a visa since July 2005. Once the visa expired, 21 Savage claimed DeKalb County, Georgia.

It’s unclear how he was able to stay in the US this long, after 21 Savage was convicted of a felony drug charge in Fulton County in 2014.

21 Savage is currently in Georgia in ICE custody, where he has been placed in removal proceedings, which will determine his eviction from the United States and to decide if he can stay or not.
