Paramount confirmed the news that the untitled “Coming To America” sequel will open on August 7th, 2020!!! Plus, there’s good news because Eddie Murphy will be reprising his memorable role as Akeem, the African prince who travels to Queens, New York to find true love after refusing an arranged marriage.
Kenya Barris is set to rewrite the script while Craig Brewer will wear his director’s hat. Murphy will also produce alongside Kevin Misher and Barris as executive producer. The new film’s plot includes Akeem learning about a long-lost son and returning to America to meet the supposed heir to the throne of Zamunda.
