Jordan Peele is on the move! He isn’t letting the grass grow under his feet. Not only does he have the thriller movie, Us coming out next month.

He is also writing and producing the reboot of the classic horror movie, Candyman. They finally have cast Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to star as the lead character. Who is Abdul-Mateen? You might know if as Black Manta from Aquaman. He is also in the movie, Us and he was in the movie, The Greatest Showman.

The original movie came out in 1992 and starred Tony Todd. The original plot was about a skeptic grad student who summons the Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand while researching the myth of The Candyman. No word if the new movie will have the same plot, but we do know that the movie is going to take place in Chicago. Candyman is expected to hit theaters on June 12, 2020.

Peele is also one of the voices for Toy Story 4, he has The Twilight Zone series coming to CBS All Access plus voicing another animated movie, Wendell and Wild. Wow! That’s a busy man! But it would be great if Peele and Keegan-Michael Key did a comedy special soon.
