After scoring ratings success with a few music related biographical films (Aaliyah, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, and more) Lifetime is hoping to cash out again. This time with a film based on the life of legendary Hip Hop group Salt-N-Pepa. The miniseries will revolve around group members Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton and their rise to superstar status after meeting at Sears back in the 1980s. Executive produced by Queen Latifah, the miniseries will feature some of the groups biggest hits like “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “What a Man” and “Shoop.”

No air date has been announced yet, but I’m sure that this one will be one to watch.
