A disabled man from Miami has filed a lawsuit against Rick Ross. He claims that he was promised handicap-accessible transportation to rapper Rick Ross’ car show at the Promiseland in June, but that promise was not kept.

Darris Straughter, eagerly anticipating the event, expressed his deep disappointment. “It just broke my spirit, man, because I did everything I was supposed to do,” Straughter said to Channel 2’s Tom Jones. No wheelchair-accessible bus was available to take him to the popular annual Car and Bike Show in Fayette County.

Straughter had spent the entire year saving up for the event, even selling his car to make the trip possible. He also emailed the organizers to request a wheelchair-accessible bus to transport him from the designated parking lot assigned to him.

“I didn’t want to get stuck. I didn’t want to get stuck, you get what I’m saying? And I still ended up getting stuck after I did everything I was supposed to do,” Straughter said.

Straughter has now filed a lawsuit against Ross and the Car Show. He is suing for loss of time and money, mental anguish, and pain and suffering.
