Michael Rainey Jr. Talks Possibility of Another Power Spin-off

Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Tariq St. Patrick, reflected on his character’s transformation in the Power universe, noting how fans went from disliking Tariq to embracing him when Power Book II: Ghost began.
“At the end of the original Power, nobody liked Tariq,” Rainey admitted, but praised the writers for the successful shift in audience sentiment.
Now, with the final season of Ghost wrapped, the actor hinted at what’s next, expressing excitement about the upcoming prequel exploring the origins of Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan.
“Who knows what else they’ve got? They always have something up their sleeve,” Rainey teased, leaving the door open for future spin-offs. “I’m super excited to see what’s to come. If they call me, I’mma pick up the phone.”
He also expressed deep gratitude to fans, saying, “I appreciate every single one, even the ones that still throw hate at me.”
